There is one club - VPC. they have played the odd touring side but now play in France in the lower divisions. There are lots of links with Spain and France.

There is lots of depth of competition in the West of Europe - eg England full league home and away, domestic cup, anglo welsh cup, European cups, plus five international spring, 3 autumn and normally something in the summer!!!

I suspect it will take time for nations like Romania to build sustainable competitions to allow for more games, and it will be a while before there are more Europe wide competions

i must ask you something, is there any club rugby activity going on in andorra?

and another thing -
i must say,,i like rugby very much. i am a romanian and in the last couple of years we managed to organize ourselves pretty good, we have a 12 team national division divided into two series, i think the players are all professional, and the level is actually good. i know romania has always been a good rugby side...but i can see progress now and rugby is getting some attention from the media as well with regular live coverage of the league on national television!
but i am more of a football fan...and in rugby i kind of miss the competition format that you can find in football. i think it is for the good of the game to play as many matches and as diverse as possible and ..in football they tend over do it..but rugby lacks this..maybe it is because rugby is a more physical demanding game..but the structure of the competitions seems to small at club and inter-country level
